Mordecai, a blue jay, and Rigby, a raccoon, are two friends who are 23 years old and work as groundskeepers at a park. They share similar personalities, although Mordecai usually takes responsibility for his actions while Rigby is more immature and selfish. Both see their job as tedious and routine, so they look for any excuse to get out of it. Their boss, Benson, a gumball machine, grows tired of their irresponsibility and constantly scolds them for not doing their tasks. They also work alongside Skips, an immortal yeti; Muscle Man, a green, burly ogre; and Hi-Five Ghost, a ghost. Created by J.G. Quintel for Cartoon Network, the series shows how these two friends turn every chore into a surreal adventure.
