Synopsis of DreamWorks Dragons

Following the events of the movie «How to Train Your Dragon», the Vikings of Berk and the dragons live together peacefully on the island. That coexistence, however, is not as simple as it seems. Dragons remain wild beasts and, without meaning to, cause problems on the island. Every time it happens, the grumpiest Viking in the village opposes their presence and demands action. Hiccup and his friends are tasked with finding a solution to each conflict. The series takes place between the first movie and its sequel, and Hiccup works to keep the balance between Vikings and dragons. Jay Baruchel voices Hiccup. The series airs on Cartoon Network and Netflix and was created by Chris Sanders.

Trivia about DreamWorks Dragons

It is the only DreamWorks Animation Television series produced for Cartoon Network rather than Nickelodeon.
It was originally going to be called Dragons: The Series, but the San Diego Comic-Con schedule for June 2012 announced Dragons: Riders of Berk as the new title.
According to Nielsen Media Research, episodes of the first season averaged first place in their time slot among kids ages 2–14.
The series won a Primetime Emmy in 2013 for Andy Bialk's character design, in the Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation category.
«DreamWorks Dragons» racked up six wins and sixteen award nominations, including the Annies, the Emmys, and the Saturns.
The production was planned as a bridge of 40 episodes between the 2010 movie and its 2014 sequel, with much of the movie cast returning to voice their characters.
The score for «Riders of Berk» was assigned to John Paesano after DreamWorks interviewed several composers and asked them to prepare demos for scenes from the series.
The production team worked out of facilities in Sherman Oaks, Taiwan, India, and New Zealand, according to the series' producers.
