Synopsis of Glee

At William McKinley High School in Lima, Ohio, Spanish teacher Will Schuester wants to restore the choir club to its former prestige. The group, known as the glee club, has lost popularity, and its members are marginalized students who nonetheless have a lot of talent. Will gathers a team of young people to compete in the choir competition, while each of them deals with their own problems inside and outside the classroom. Created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Ian Brennan, the series airs on FOX and stars Matthew Morrison. Beyond music, the plot addresses romance, sexuality, discrimination, and bullying.

Trivia about Glee

Brennan initially wrote a script for a TV movie based on his time at Prospect High School in Illinois.

The series' music has sold more than thirty-six million digital singles and eleven million albums worldwide as of October 2011.

The first season received a Metacritic score of 77 out of 100, based on 18 professional reviews.

Murphy was so impressed by Chris Colfer's personality, despite his lack of professional experience, that he decided to create the role of Kurt for him.

The cast was set to march in Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 2009, but NBC prevented it because Glee aired on a rival network.

Disney+ and Hulu have officially announced a reboot of "Glee," although they have yet to confirm the cast or release date.

Ryan Murphy confirmed that they wrote the reboot's script together with Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan, and that they had reached out to about ten members of the original cast.

Over its six seasons, "Glee" won six Emmy Awards and four Golden Globes.
