Synopsis of Victorious

Tori Vega is 16 years old and has always been overshadowed by her older sister, Trina, the family's star. Her life in Los Angeles changes when she replaces Trina in a big school performance after Trina has an allergic reaction from gargling with Chinese herbs. The principal of Hollywood Arts, a performing arts school, offers her a spot after that performance, and Tori accepts. Now she must adjust to a school where everyone dreams of fame and find her place alongside André, Robbie, Cat, Jade and Beck. Created by Dan Schneider and starring Victoria Justice for Nickelodeon, the series follows Tori as she discovers her creativity and realizes that entertaining others is what makes her happiest.

Trivia about Victorious

Victorious was the first original Nickelodeon series created by Dan Schneider to feature original music, something that later became a signature of the show.

The series ended without a proper finale, something the spin-off Sam & Cat addresses in an episode where Cat complains that a network canceled a show without wrapping it up properly.

The first episode, which aired after the 2010 Kids' Choice Awards, drew 5.7 million viewers, the second-highest number for a Nickelodeon live-action series premiere.

The show's theme is the song "Make It Shine," which was also the first single from the series soundtrack.

The school exterior seen in the series is a digitally altered photo of Burbank High School, although the story takes place at Hollywood Arts.

"Victorious" received four Primetime Emmy nominations during its four seasons on Nickelodeon.

The budget for recording original songs and building sets meant the cast had to reuse wardrobe across different episodes.

Nickelodeon announced "Hollywood Arts," a 26-episode spin-off starring Daniella Monet as Trina Vega, with production planned in Vancouver and a Netflix premiere in 2026.
