Synopsis of The Suite Life of Zack & Cody

Twin brothers Zack and Cody Martin are 12 years old and live at the Tipton Hotel, a luxury hotel in Boston. Their mother, Carey, a single mom, sings in the hotel lounge. The brothers get bored with the hotel's routine and come up with all kinds of mischief to keep their days entertaining. Mr. Moseby, the manager, is a stern, serious man who often foils their plans. London Tipton, the hotel owner's heiress, rich and scatterbrained, and Maddie Fitzpatrick, the candy counter girl, also live at the hotel. When the twins get into trouble, they look for a way out, and this constant tug-of-war with the Tipton staff is the engine of the series. Created by Danny Kallis and Jim Geoghan, it airs on Disney Channel and stars Dylan and Cole Sprouse.

The exterior of the Tipton seen in the series is the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver in downtown Vancouver, while the interiors were filmed at Hollywood Center Studios in Los Angeles.

Its premiere on Disney Channel drew 4 million viewers, making it the network's most successful series in 2005.

It was one of the first five Disney Channel shows available on the iTunes Store.

The series was renewed for a third season in November 2006, when 65 episodes had already been completed.

It is the third Disney Channel original with more than 65 episodes, after That's So Raven and Kim Possible.

The series received two Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Children's Program in 2007 and 2008.

In 2011, «The Suite Life Movie» premiered as a TV movie based on both the original series and its spin-off.

Cole Sprouse publicly turned down a possible revival of the series, saying that he and his brother Dylan did not want to return for a reboot.
