Synopsis of BLUE EYE SAMURAI

In Edo-period Japan in the 17th century, Mizu, an onna-musha of mixed white and Japanese heritage, lives. Her goal is to avenge herself on four white men, one of whom is her father. He stayed in the country illegally when the Tokugawa shogunate closed its borders. The young warrior must track down each of them to achieve her purpose. The adult animated series was created by Amber Noizumi and Michael Green and streams on Netflix. The conflict arises from the clash between Mizu's thirst for revenge and the weight of her mixed-race origins in a society that rejects her.
