Synopsis of Avatar: Seven Havens

In the wake of a cataclysm that devastates the world, 225 years after the end of The Legend of Korra, humanity survives in the Seven Havens, the last cities holding civilization together. Pavi is a young orphan from Ellora who discovers she is the next Avatar. But in this new era, the Avatar is no longer seen as a savior but as the destroyer of the world, and Pavi becomes a target for both humans and spirits. Together with her twin sister Nisha and the guard Jae, she must protect the havens before they collapse while trying to uncover the mysterious origin of them both. Created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the series airs on Paramount+ and stars Saheli Khan as the voice of Pavi.

Trivia about Avatar: Seven Havens

Netflix announced a live-action Avatar adaptation in 2018, but in June 2020 the creators left the project over creative differences.

According to the creators, the art direction was inspired by the French surrealist illustrator Mœbius and by 1990s anime.

The series was originally scheduled to air on 2027, but at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2026 it was announced that it would premiere on Paramount+ earlier.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the series has a 100% approval rating based on 21 reviews.

The series was renewed for a third and fourth season on the same day as its premiere, during New York Comic-Con.

The idea of setting the story in a post-apocalyptic Avatar world came after scrapping a concept developed by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko around 2008, before they took the project to Avatar Studios in 2021.

In an interview after the premiere, the creators confirmed that the books 3 and 4 were already written and that production on both seasons was well underway.

Michael Dante DiMartino said that he and Bryan Konietzko are still developing other projects in the franchise, and noted that Kuruk is the first of these spin-offs to be released.
