Synopsis of Never Have I Ever
Devi Vishwakumar is a 15-year-old Indian American student of Tamil descent who lives in Sherman Oaks, in the Los Angeles area. Her life takes a turn when her father, Mohan, dies suddenly during a performance by the band he plays in. The emotional blow leaves her paralyzed and unable to walk for three months. One day, intending to see Paxton Hall-Yoshida, her secret crush, she gets up and regains her mobility. Devi wants to leave behind the year she has had and gain popularity at school, but grief and her sense of identity get in the way. Created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher, the series streams on Netflix and is narrated by former tennis star John McEnroe.
