Synopsis of Young Justice

Young Justice is an animated series created by Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti, aired on Cartoon Network, DC Universe and HBO Max. It takes place on Earth-16 in the DC Multiverse, in a time when superheroes are a relatively recent phenomenon. It follows a group of young sidekicks to established heroes who work as undercover agents under the supervision of the Justice League, although the League barely appears on screen. Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Superboy, Miss Martian and Artemis try to earn their own names while dealing with the usual problems of adolescence. Each mission forces them to balance their personal lives with their double identities, on a team where secrets and lies weigh as heavily as the enemies they have to fight.

Trivia about Young Justice

The idea grew out of a mash-up of two comics: Sam Register of Warner Bros. Animation proposed a show based on a crossover between Teen Titans and the comic book series Young Justice.
The series' funding depended on a toy deal with Mattel. When the toys didn't sell well, Mattel canceled the line and, with it, the funding for the show.
The season finale, "Endgame," became the most-watched show on Cartoon Network during the week of March 11 to 17, 2013.
Aqualad, not Robin, is the team leader from the very beginning. The character was created by producers Weisman and Vietti, with design by Bourassa.
Artemis Crock replaced Arrowette in the cast, since the producers wanted to focus on her storylines.
South Korean studios MOI Animation and Lotto Animation handled the key animation and in-betweening for the series.
After the fourth season, "Young Justice" has not been officially canceled, but it has not received the green light for a fifth season either; Greg Weisman confirmed that the creators have plans to continue the story.
A fan campaign brought the series back six years after its initial cancellation, with a third season titled "Young Justice: Outsiders" premiering on DC Universe in 2019.
