Synopsis of Heroes Reborn

One year after a terrorist attack in Odessa, Texas, the city remains devastated. People with extraordinary abilities are blamed for the attack and live in hiding or on the run from vigilantes who want to eliminate them for good. Noah Bennet, played by Jack Coleman, has a mission: to gather these evolved humans to save the world once again. Created by Tim Kring, the series airs on NBC and stars Zachary Levi and Robbie Kay in the main cast. The conflict pits the evos against two hunters, Luke and Joanne Collins, who seek revenge for the son they lost in the attack.

Trivia about Heroes Reborn

Masi Oka was confirmed in March to reprise the role of Hiro Nakamura in a multi-episode story arc.

Milo Ventiglima, who played Peter Petrelli in the original series, confirmed in June 2014 that he would not return for the reboot, just like Hayden Panettiere.

On July 9, 2015, Dark Matters, a six-episode web series introducing the characters and story of the new series, was released.

On Metacritic, the series earned an average score of 53 out of 100, indicating mixed or average reviews.

In Australia, the first two episodes aired drew 444,000 and 372,000 viewers, respectively.

Zachary Levi joined the miniseries in January 2015, although NBC had not yet revealed the name of his character at that time.

Tim Kring conceived "Heroes Reborn" as a 13-episode limited series with a self-contained story, to avoid the open-ended continuity that had made the original series difficult to sustain.

In January 2016, NBC confirmed that "Heroes Reborn" would not get a second season after its ratings declined during the broadcast.
