Synopsis of Marvel's Jessica Jones

Jessica Jones is an American television series created by Melissa Rosenberg for Netflix and based on the Marvel Comics character. Krysten Ritter plays Jessica, a woman with superpowers who had a brief career as a superhero until an incident leaves her scarred: the villain Kilgrave forces her to kill someone. After that, she gives up heroics and opens her own private investigation agency in New York, Alias Investigations, where she takes cases while trying to leave her past behind. Her routine falls apart when Kilgrave, a man capable of controlling the minds of others, reappears in the city. Jessica must set aside her desire to stay away from everything in order to stop him.

Trivia about Marvel's Jessica Jones

Loeb revealed that ABC wanted the series to revolve around Carol Danvers, with Jessica Jones relegated to a supporting character in the story.
Filming took place in New York, in areas of Brooklyn and Long Island City that still retain the look of the old Hell's Kitchen.
The series received a Peabody Award, a Hugo Award and a Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Award, as well as widespread critical acclaim.
The opening title was created by Imaginary Forces and mixes Sean Callery's jazz-style theme with works by David Mack, the artist behind the cover of the original Alias comic.
Krysten Ritter and Teresa Palmer were the final candidates for the role, and both auditioned alongside Mike Colter to test their chemistry.
The character Trish Walker was added as a replacement for Carol Danvers, because Danvers was going to appear in her own movie.
Netflix canceled "Marvel's Jessica Jones" on February 18, 2019, before the premiere of its third season, which became the series' last.
Krysten Ritter will return as Jessica Jones in the second season of "Daredevil: Born Again," announced by Marvel in May 2025.
