Synopsis of Daria
Daria Morgendorffer is a smart, cynical, and blunt teenager attending high school in Lawndale, a fictional suburb in the United States. Together with her best friend, Jane Lane, an aspiring artist, she simply observes the world around her: high school classmates chasing popularity, and teachers and parents who don't see their own contradictions. Daria doesn't keep quiet about what she thinks, and her sensible, nonconformist attitude clashes with the lack of common sense among those around her. Created by Glenn Eichler and Susie Lewis Lynn, the series satirizes high school life, popular culture, and class differences. The protagonist's family, made up of her mother Helen, her father Jake, and her younger sister Quinn, appears in much of the show. It airs on MTV, and Daria is voiced by Tracy Grandstaff.
