Synopsis of Taken

Taken is a science fiction miniseries that follows three families across five decades and four generations: the Keys, the Crawfords and the Clarkes. Russell Keys, a World War II veteran, suffers nightmares in which he believes he was abducted by aliens. Owen Crawford, an Air Force captain, watches as the Roswell incident turns him into an unscrupulous government conspirator determined to cover up the existence of aliens. Sally Clarke, unhappily married, crosses paths with an alien visitor who will change her life. As the three families try to keep their secrets or survive the experiences that torment them, the series explores the clash between those who seek the truth and those who hide it. Sci Fi Channel airs it in the United States.

During its launch, Sci-Fi Channel used the simultaneous creation of the Coalition for Freedom of Information in its promotional campaign.

The miniseries was filmed in Vancouver, in the Canadian province of British Columbia, and was directed by ten different directors.
