Synopsis of Veronica Mars

In Neptune, a fictional city on the southern California coast, there is no middle class: you're either rich or you work for the rich. Veronica Mars is a high school student who, in addition to her classes, helps her father, Keith Mars, a former sheriff of Balboa County, at his detective agency. Her life revolves around her breakup with Duncan Kane, but everything changes when her best friend, Lilly Kane, is murdered. From then on, Veronica watches her life fall apart overnight and decides to investigate the crime on her own. She balances the cases her father assigns her with her determination to find out who killed Lilly. Kristen Bell stars as the lead in this series created by Rob Thomas, which aired first on UPN and later on The CW.

Trivia about Veronica Mars

Kristen Bell was chosen for the role of Veronica Mars out of more than 500 women who auditioned for it.
Jason Dohring, who played Logan Echolls, first auditioned for the role of Duncan Kane, and Teddy Dunn ended up playing Duncan after auditioning for Logan.
Thomas described Amanda Seyfried, the actress who played Lilly Kane, as the biggest surprise of the year and said she was about 100 times better than the other candidates.
Rob Thomas initially wrote Veronica Mars as a young adult novel with a male lead, but changed the genre because a noir story told from a female point of view struck him as more interesting.
The Kickstarter campaign to fund the movie broke several platform records and became its most successful film project, with 91,585 backers.
The show's theme is "We Used to Be Friends" by The Dandy Warhols, a song that was chosen from the start, according to the composer and the creator.
The series was estimated to spend 44 million dollars a year filming each season in San Diego, more than half of the city's film production revenue in 2006.
Hulu surprise-premiered the fourth season on July 19, 2019, one week ahead of the originally announced date, during the series' appearance at San Diego Comic-Con.
