Synopsis of The Office

The Office is an American mockumentary-style sitcom created by Greg Daniels and aired on NBC. A documentary crew follows the daily routine of the Scranton, Pennsylvania branch of the fictional paper company Dunder Mifflin. At the center is Michael Scott, a manager convinced he is a model boss, although his employees don't share that view. Steve Carell plays Michael, while Rainn Wilson brings to life Dwight Schrute, a submissive and power-hungry assistant. Among the rest of the staff, Jim and Pam, whose romance is one of the show's main storylines, watch the boss's antics with discomfort. The characters look into the camera and comment on what's happening, so every workday becomes an observation of their relationships.

«A comedy for anyone whose boss is an idiot.»
