Synopsis of The Pretender

Jarod is a young man with an extraordinary gift: he can pass himself off as any professional after quickly mastering the skills the job demands. He was kidnapped as a child and raised at The Centre, a group of experts based in the fictional town of Blue Cove, Delaware. Now he has escaped the organization and lives on the run. He is pursued by a team made up of Miss Parker, Sydney and Broots, who work for The Centre and have orders to bring him back. In each episode, Jarod takes on a new professional identity, such as doctor, lawyer, soldier or pilot, to investigate a crime that falls on an innocent person and bring the real culprits to justice. Meanwhile, he searches for his origins, and his escape forces his pursuers to follow a lead that points to the dark secrets of the organization. Created by Steven Long Mitchell and Craig W. Van Sickle, the series airs on NBC and stars Michael T. Weiss.
