Get the Gringo

In “Get the Gringo,” we meet Driver (Mel Gibson), a guy having a really bad day. And things only get worse for him: he's pulled off a multimillion-dollar heist that would have funded an unforgettable summer vacation, but that plan literally falls apart. During a high-speed car chase with the border police and a bleeding body in the back seat, Driver flips the car, crashes it into the border wall, and ends up upside down in Mexico. Captured by Mexican authorities, he's sent to a rundown prison, where he gets drawn into the dangerous world of El Pueblito. A outsider like him won't survive easily, unless he has the help of someone who knows exactly which strings to pull at every turn: a 10-year-old boy.
