Synopsis of Salvation
An asteroid is heading toward Earth, and only six months remain before impact. Liam Cole, an MIT graduate student, and Darius Tanz, a billionaire technologist, are among the first to realize the danger. Both decide to work together on a plan to save humanity without causing public panic. To give their project a theoretical foundation, they recruit Jillian, an aspiring writer. Meanwhile, Grace Barrows, a Pentagon official, finds herself caught between both sides, because the U.S. government has chosen a different approach. Harris Edwards, Deputy Secretary of Defense, leads a secret plan to divert the asteroid. Created by Elizabeth Kruger, Craig Shapiro and Matt JL Wheeler, the series airs on CBS and stars Santiago Cabrera, Jennifer Finnigan and Charlie Rowe.
