What Season 1 of Salvation
An asteroid is heading toward Earth, and only six months remain before impact. Liam Cole, a graduate student at MIT, and Darius Tanz, a billionaire technologist, are among the first to recognize the danger, and they decide to join forces to design a plan that can save humanity without causing panic. To give the project a theoretical foundation, they recruit Jillian, an aspiring writer. Meanwhile, Grace Barrows, a Pentagon official, finds herself caught between both sides, because the U.S. government is backing a different approach. Harris Edwards, Deputy Secretary of Defense, leads a secret plan to divert the asteroid. The tension between Liam and Darius's civilian route and the official strategy drives the entire season.
