Synopsis of Are You Afraid of the Dark?
A group of teenagers who call themselves the Midnight Society meets in secret in the forest at night, around a campfire. Each week, one of them takes the floor to tell the others a scary story. Before starting, they toss midnight dust into the fire so the flames rise and the smoke turns white. The tales involve demons, ghosts, haunted houses, or curses that reach ordinary kids. Ross Hull and Daniel DeSanto lead the cast of this series, created by D.J. MacHale and Ned Kandel, which aired on Nickelodeon, YTV and Family Channel. Each episode revolves around the narrator's story, which viewers see acted out while the group listens from the clearing.
