In a dystopian future where overpopulation and famine have forced the government to enforce a one-child policy, seven sisters, each named after a day of the week, struggle to survive and go unnoticed by pretending to be a single person when they go out in public: Karen Settman. But one day, one of them, Monday, vanishes without a trace. The other sisters will try to find her.
