Synopsis of American Crime Story

American Crime Story kicks off with The People v. O. J. Simpson, a first season focused on the murder trial of O. J. Simpson, accused of killing his ex-wife. The series, created by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski, airs on FX and is based on the book The Run of His Life by Jeffrey Toobin. Sarah Paulson plays Marcia Clark, the prosecutor leading the case, alongside Sterling K. Brown as Christopher Darden. On the other side is the defense, led by John Travolta as Robert Shapiro, who aims to dismantle the prosecution's case. Cuba Gooding Jr. plays the defendant.
