Trivia about Will & Grace

Director James Burrows wanted to direct the pilot as soon as he read the script for the first time, in November 1997.
Sean Hayes was invited to audition for Jack after an NBC casting executive saw him in the independent gay romance film Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss.
Will & Grace received 30 nominations in total but never managed to win a Golden Globe.
In 2012, then-Vice President Joe Biden said that Will & Grace had done more to educate the American public than almost anything else.
The musical Karen: The Musical, which Megan Mullally was set to create and star in on Broadway, was canceled after the rights to the character of Karen were withdrawn.
The revival season was shot on Stage 22 at Universal Studios Hollywood, instead of Stage 17 at CBS Studio Center, which was used for the original broadcast.
John Barrowman was up for the role of Will Truman, but the producers passed on him because they felt he seemed "too straight" to play a gay character; the role ultimately went to Eric McCormack.
All four leads won an Emmy for their performances, an achievement that until then only the American sitcoms "All in the Family" and "The Golden Girls" had reached.
