This Is 40

Director and producer Judd Apatow (‘Virgin Territory’ at 40) returns to his signature tragicomic world, built around the midlife crisis, this time centering on two familiar characters: Debbie (Leslie Mann) and Pete (Paul Rudd), the couple who first appeared in the hit ‘Knocked Up’ and now take center stage in this spin-off, ‘This Is 40.’ Through them, the director explores the conflicts of marriage and family, with all their ups and downs, setbacks and problems, as well as the questions surrounding parenthood. If ‘Knocked Up’ showed us that this couple wasn't as balanced and mature as they first seemed, now we'll discover why, delving into their eccentricities and the way they face their responsibilities.
