Synopsis of Impractical Jokers
Four friends from Staten Island, New York, form the improv group The Tenderloins and force each other to play pranks on people in public. Each episode features two or three challenges. One of them tries to complete an embarrassing task in front of passersby who know nothing about the game, while the other three, hidden and equipped with surveillance gear, dictate what to say through an earpiece. Each challenge has a goal, and whoever fails to reach it loses. In the end, the one with the most losses has to face the punishment chosen by their fellow players. Created by the stars themselves and aired on truTV, the series relies heavily on improvisation, and the reactions of the four are often just as striking as those of the people they encounter.
