Synopsis of Marvel Zombies

A virus has turned most of the world's population, including the Avengers, into zombies. The story takes place in the alternate timeline presented in the episode "What If... Zombies?!" from the series What If...? A group of survivors risks their lives to face zombies with superpowers and try to save the planet. Among them is Kamala Khan, a teenage mutant from Jersey City with a magical bracelet that lets her channel cosmic energy and create constructs of hard light. Her character is the heart of the plot, which mixes action, humor and drama with explicit violence. Created by Bryan Andrews and Zeb Wells, the series airs on Disney+.

Trivia about Marvel Zombies

Kevin Feige expressed interest in 2013 for a live-action adaptation of Marvel Zombies, but he was unable to bring that story to the big screen because of the MCU's target audience.
The project started out as a movie, but it became a miniseries partly because the creatives wanted to include Peter Parker, since Marvel Studios can only use the character in short-form animation.
Marvel Zombies was announced as the studio's first animated series rated TV-MA, so it could show all the gore and splatter you want in a zombie show.
Todd Williams voices Blade Knight instead of Mahershala Ali, who played the character in the MCU movies, but Ali couldn't reprise the role due to scheduling conflicts.
Blade Knight keeps the likeness of Mahershala Ali even though another actor voices him, since characters keep the appearance of the actors who played them in the movies.
The premiere was pushed back to 2025 so that Marvel Zombies and Agatha All Along, another Marvel miniseries planned for the same period, wouldn't cut into each other's viewership.
According to FlixPatrol, Marvel Zombies was the most-watched series on Disney+ in more than 30 countries after its premiere, ahead of Grey's Anatomy, High Potential and Alien: Earth.
Rotten Tomatoes has an approval rating of 66% based on 35 critic reviews.
