One year after the end of The Good Wife, a massive financial scam ruins the reputation of Maia Rindell, a young lawyer, and leaves her mentor and godmother, Diane Lockhart, with no savings. Both are forced to leave their law firm and look for a fresh start in Chicago. Lucca Quinn, Diane's former employee, welcomes them to Reddick, Boseman & Kolstad, a prestigious African American-owned firm known for taking on police brutality cases in Illinois. Created by Michelle King, Robert King and Phil Alden Robinson, the series airs on CBS All Access and Paramount+ and stars Christine Baranski. Its three female leads face life in a new office, with its own internal intrigues, while the political and social conflicts of today, such as the alt-right, the MeToo movement and fake news, shape the cases.
