Private Practice

Addison Montgomery, an obstetrician specializing in maternal-fetal medicine, leaves Seattle Grace Hospital and moves to Los Angeles. Her new destination is Oceanside Wellness Group, a private cooperative-style clinic where some old friends of hers work. There she discovers a way of practicing medicine very different from what she knew. Her colleagues include Naomi Bennett, a fertility specialist and Addison's best friend, and Sam Bennett, Naomi's ex-husband and an internist. The series follows Addison's efforts to adjust to this new environment while rebuilding her personal relationships, and shows how the team cares for its patients and keeps the business running while trying to live their everyday lives. Created by Shonda Rhimes and aired on ABC, the series stars Kate Walsh.
