Synopsis of Interview with the Vampire
In 2022, journalist Daniel Molloy receives a proposal from Louis de Pointe du Lac, who wants to sit for a new round of interviews to tell his story. Daniel, a veteran reporter whose life has been marked by excess and illness, isn't sure whether the man sitting across from him is telling the truth. Louis then recalls his youth in New Orleans in 1910, a city where being a Black man closes doors for him and where his life changes forever when he crosses paths with Lestat de Lioncourt, a charismatic and dangerous vampire. The series moves between two timelines, the present-day conversation and the memories, and raises the question of what the price is for telling the truth about one's own life. Created by Rolin Jones for AMC, the series stars Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid, with Eric Bogosian as Daniel.
