Synopsis of Drake & Josh

Drake Parker and Josh Nichols are two teenagers from San Diego, California, who become stepbrothers when their parents get married. Drake is a laid-back, good-looking guy who has everything going his way: he plays guitar, has luck with girls, and lives with a carefree attitude that sometimes borders on laziness. Josh is his opposite, a smart, responsible guy whom bad luck relentlessly follows. They all share a house with Audrey, Drake's mother, Walter, Josh's father, and Megan, Drake's younger sister, a clever girl who specializes in harmful pranks and never gets punished. Created by Dan Schneider for Nickelodeon, the comedy revolves around two brothers who have nothing in common living under the same roof.

Trivia about Drake & Josh

A scene in which Bell and Peck argue over a piece of shrimp led network executives to give them both their own spin-off series.

A pilot that never aired featured Stephen Furst as Walter Nichols, but Jonathan Goldstein took the role because Furst was busy with another project.

The mother's profession is never revealed on the show, although Schneider wrote dialogue for the final episode that would have revealed it.

The premiere was watched by 3.2 million viewers, the highest debut rating for a Nickelodeon series in almost ten years.

The series won two Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, two UK Kids' Choice Awards, and three Australian Kids' Choice Awards, and was nominated for seven other awards.

The main characters' house is located in Encino, in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, and was used for the exterior shots.

The theme song, "I Found a Way," is sung by Drake Bell, who co-wrote it with Backhouse Mike.

Bell and Peck each directed one episode during the fourth season.
