There she meets Richard Cypher, a young forest guide brought to life by Craig Horner, and the wizard Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander, played by Bruce Spence. Trivia about Legend of the Seeker

The series was going to be called Wizard's First Rule, like the first book in the saga, until Goodkind suggested changing the title to Legend of the Seeker to set it apart from the novels.
The production received a budget of US$1.5 million per episode, with network-level scale for an action show with heavy visual effects.
Tapert immediately thought Craig Horner was the right man for the role of Richard Cypher when he saw his audition tape.
Neither Craig Horner nor Bridget Regan had read the books in the saga before auditioning for their roles.
The premiere, aired over the weekend of November 1 and 2, 2008, drew more than 4.1 million viewers in the United States over those two days.
In 2009, the series won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series.
Filming for the second season began in New Zealand in July 2009, based on the sequel to Wizard's First Rule, titled Stone of Tears.
The series was canceled in 2010 after two seasons; a planned deal with Syfy fell through, and production never returned for a third season.
