Synopsis of Marvel's Agent Carter

In 1946, in New York, Agent Peggy Carter works at the Strategic Scientific Reserve (SSR) on routine administrative tasks, far from the missions she would like to take on. Without her superiors knowing, she balances that job with secretly helping Howard Stark, who is accused of supplying deadly weapons to enemies of the United States. To uncover those responsible and get rid of the weapons, Peggy teams up with Edwin Jarvis, Stark's butler, who becomes her ally. Created by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the series airs on ABC and stars Hayley Atwell, who reprises the role of Peggy from the Marvel Universe. Peggy must balance her life as a secret agent with that of a single woman in the United States in the 40s.

Trivia about Marvel's Agent Carter

A possible series based on the short film was proposed in July 2013 by Louis D'Esposito, following the screening of the One-Shot at San Diego Comic-Con.
Christopher Lennertz, who had already composed the music for the One-Shot, officially signed on in September 2014 to compose the series' score.
The first season's soundtrack went on sale on iTunes on December 11, 2015.
FOX UK acquired the UK broadcast rights in June 2015, and the series premiered there on July 12, 2015.
Hulu acquired the exclusive streaming rights on November 29, 2017, and both seasons arrived on Disney+ on November 12, 2019.
Rotten Tomatoes reported an approval rating of 98% and an average score of 7.9/10 based on 48 reviews for the first season.
ABC canceled “Marvel’s Agent Carter” on May 12, 2016, after two seasons. The second season averaged 2,681 million viewers and a 0.79 share among adults 18 to 49, compared with 5.02 million viewers and 1.51 for the first.
Executive producer Michele Fazekas explained in March 2016 that the team had planned a third season, but doubted Netflix would want to continue the show. She also said ABC asked the team to prepare a conclusion for the loose storylines in case no renewal came.
