Trivia about Future Man

Actress Glenne Headly died after filming five of the 13 episodes planned for the season. The producers decided not to replace her and to air the episodes she had already shot.

The pilot was written by Ariel Shaffir and Kyle Hunter from a story by the two of them and Howard Overman, and was directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

In May 2023, the series was pulled from all Disney streaming services, including Hulu and Disney+, due to the company's budget cuts.

The second season earned a 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 9 reviews, with an average score of 8.03 out of 10.

The third season was renewed as the final one and its order was cut to eight episodes, compared with the 13 of the previous two seasons.

The series was initially developed as a feature film before becoming a television production for Hulu.

Josh Hutcherson explained that the series allowed them to perform several particularly demanding dance scenes during filming.
