Synopsis of DuckTales

After ten years without speaking, Donald Duck reunites with his uncle Scrooge McDuck, a former adventurer turned billionaire, when he asks him to look after his triplet nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie for a day. The story follows the family in Duckburg, the Duck family's hometown, and in remote corners of the world where hidden treasures wait to be discovered. Scrooge wants to recover the spirit of adventure he left behind, and the boys, with very different personalities, begin sharing a life full of expeditions with him. Dewey and Webby, Mrs. Beakley's granddaughter, set out to uncover what lies behind the tense relationship between Scrooge and Donald.

Trivia about DuckTales

Terry McGovern, the original voice of Launchpad McQuack, said in 2015 that the original voice cast would not return for the reboot, and that it saddened him greatly.
Francisco Angones explained that the triplets have different voices so that they would have distinct personalities and could be told apart.
The eighties version limited Donald's role due to a decree from The Walt Disney Company, which only allowed him to make brief cameos.
According to Parrot Analytics, in July 2021 demand for DuckTales was 17.34 times that of the average TV show.
In 2021, D23 claimed that DuckTales was the highest-rated series on Disney XD and that it surpassed 234 million views.
Disney confirmed in December 2020 that the series would not get a fourth season and would end in 2021 after three seasons, 75 episodes and more than 15 shorts.
The series received two nominations at the 2019 Daytime Emmy Awards: Outstanding Animated Program and Outstanding Casting for an Animated Series or Special.
The voice cast won the Behind the Voice Actors audience award in 2018 for best vocal ensemble in a new series.
