Bleach

Ichigo Kurosaki is a high school student in the Japanese city of Karakura who has the ability to interact with spirits. One night, he crosses paths with Rukia Kuchiki, a shinigami, or Japanese personification of death, who is surprised that he can see her. Their conversation is interrupted when a hollow, an evil spirit, appears and attacks Ichigo's younger twin sisters. Rukia risks her life to protect him and, badly wounded, tries to transfer some of her powers to him so he can face the creature. From that moment on, Ichigo becomes a substitute shinigami tasked with defending humans from evil spirits and guiding the souls of the deceased to the afterlife. The series, based on the manga by Tite Kubo and broadcast on TV Tokyo, follows the protagonist's double life, voiced by Masakazu Morita in the Japanese version.
