Synopsis of Kuroko's Basketball

Kuroko Tetsuya starts his first year at Seirin High School and joins the school's basketball team. Previously, he played at Teikō Middle School, which won the tournament three years in a row with a group of prodigy players known as the "Generation of Miracles." After graduating, each of them went on to a different high school with a strong basketball team. Together with his new teammate, Kagami Taiga, Kuroko sets an ambitious goal: to make Seirin the best team in the championship. The series, aired by MBS, follows this goal from the very first practices.

Trivia about Kuroko's Basketball

The manga was the third best-selling manga series of 2013, with 8,761,081 copies sold in one year.
In 2014, volume 24 of the manga had an initial print run of one million copies.
Several locations linked to the series, including a convenience store chain and a TV network that aired the anime, received threatening letters containing a powdery substance or liquid.
After the series' dōjinshi were lost due to the threats, an event called Kuroket, dedicated to this type of publication, was held during Comiket Special 6 - Otaku Summit 2015.
After the anime premiered, the series became popular in dōjinshi circles, especially yaoi, even though the series contains no yaoi.
The anime won the 2013 Tokyo Anime Award for Television, with Shunsuke Tada credited as the winner.
The third season won the Anime Trending award for Favorite Sequel or New Season in 2015.
The story continued with the spin-off manga Kuroko's Basketball: Extra Game, published between December 2014 and March 2016, and later adapted into the movie Last Game, released in March 2017.
