Synopsis of The Misfit of Demon King Academy

In a past life, Anos Voldigoad was the Demon King of Tyranny, a ruler exhausted by an endless war between humans and demons. Determined to end the conflict, he devised a plan to separate the four races with barriers and gave up his own magic to make it possible, promising to return after a long period. Two thousand years later, Anos is reborn and enrolls at the academy where candidates to become the next Demon King are trained. Among students who have no idea who he really is, he must adapt to a world very different from the one he left behind. The series airs on Japanese television and features Takuma Terashima in the main cast.

Trivia about The Misfit of Demon King Academy

The series is based on the novel Maō Gakuin no Futekigōsha, which serves as the starting point for the TV adaptation.
The broadcast of the second season was suspended starting with episode 7 due to the impact of rising COVID-19 cases on the production schedule, and the first six episodes aired again starting February 18, 2023.
Yūichirō Umehara replaced Tatsuhisa Suzuki as the voice of Anos Voldigoad in the second season.
The anime was originally scheduled for April 2020, but its premiere was pushed back to July of that year due to production problems related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
There is no official confirmation of a third season or announced release date following the conclusion of the second part in July 2024.
