Life

New York, 1932. Ray Gibson is a small-time crook who has just slipped into the Spanky club and quickly spots his first victim of the night. Naive Claude Banks, an aspiring accountant, has gone out with his girlfriend that night and has no idea he has become Ray's target. Claude's wallet ends up in Ray's hands, and Ray believes it will give him the money to pay the gambling debt he owes Spanky. But Ray gets a rude surprise, because Claude, who has a gambling habit of his own, is just as broke as he is. (FILMAFFINITY)
