Ong-Bak

Ong Bak is a legendary statue of Buddha housed in the temple of Nong Para-du, in rural Thailand. The villagers believe the magical powers of Ong Bak protect them from all evil. A ruthless gangster steals the Buddha's head, leaving the village completely defenseless. The villagers set out to find a warrior to recover the Buddha and face the gang, and they find Ting, an orphan raised in the temple and a student of Pra Kru, a kind monk and master of the ancient art of Muay Thai: "The Nine Bodily Weapons".
