Justine has been a vegetarian her whole life. She starts her first semester at veterinary school, the same one her older sister, Alexia, attends and where their parents met. On her first night, she meets Adrien, her roommate, who claims to be gay. Soon after, the two are forced to take part in a series of hazing rituals with which the school welcomes newcomers. The group takes them to a party, and the freshmen's environment starts to demand more of them than they expected. Directed by Julia Ducournau and starring Garance Marillier, the film opens in a university setting that seems welcoming, although the trials imposed on students keep escalating.
