Scarface

Tony Camonte (Paul Muni), a ignorant and unscrupulous gunman of Italian descent, is the right-hand man of Johnny Lovo (Osgood Perkins), the most powerful gangster on Chicago's South Side. Ambitious and cruel, Camonte, who earns the nickname "Scarface" from a scar across his face, gradually eliminates his boss's rivals until, with the help of his friend Gino Rinaldo (George Raft), he takes power from Lovo as well and becomes the ruler of the city. After a month-long vacation in Florida, he discovers that his sister Cesca (Ann Dvorak), for whom he feels a confused and passionate love, is Gino's lover.
