Gangster Squad

Los Angeles, 1949. Mickey Cohen, a Brooklyn native, has become the powerful mob boss who runs the city. Everything seems to pass through his hands: drugs, weapons, prostitutes and any stolen goods. He is completely protected by the members of his clan, who worship him as their undisputed leader, but his tentacles reach beyond the underworld: part of the police force and some members of the political sector are under his influence. Still, there are men within the police squad who refuse to be intimidated by corruption. Sergeants John O'Mara and Jerry Wooters are the case in point, who, against all odds and everyone else, will try to bring down the empire of the all-powerful Cohen.
