Superman IV: The Quest for Peace

Shortly after the US-USSR summit on nuclear disarmament fails, the world finds itself on the brink of World War III. Superman receives a letter from a boy named Jeremy, who asks him to save the world from the coming nuclear war. Defying the wisdom of the Krypton elders, the Man of Steel announces at the UN that he will destroy all nuclear weapons, both in the East and the West. However, this is exploited by criminal mastermind Lex Luthor, freshly escaped from prison, who allies with American and Soviet militarists to create Nuclear Man, a super-monster who will annihilate the Last Son of Krypton.
