The Coffee Table

Jesús and María have just had their son, Cayetano, and have moved into the home of Jesús's late grandmother. He wants to decorate the dining room with a small table, though it seems he is doing it more to defy his defiant wife than out of genuine conviction. The couple, with the baby in their arms, goes to a furniture store intending to buy it. There, the salesman, who is also named Cayetano, assures María that the glass is unbreakable. She doesn't trust that promise and refuses to let the purchase go ahead, while Jesús insists on his whim. The film is directed by Caye Casas and stars David Pareja and Estefanía de los Santos.
