War of the Worlds

Ray Ferrier is a dockworker, divorced and a far-from-model father. Shortly after his ex-wife and her new husband leave after dropping off Robbie, his teenage son, and little daughter Rachel for one of their rare visits, a tremendous and unexpected electrical storm breaks out. Moments later, at an intersection near the house, Ray witnesses an event that will change his life and the lives of his family forever. A huge three-legged machine rises from the ground and, before anyone can do anything, tears through everything within its reach. An ordinary day has just become the most extraordinary day of his life: the first alien attack on Earth.
