Checco is a civil servant in a provincial administration in Apulia who has worked there for fifteen years. His job consists of issuing hunting and fishing licenses, a routine task that leaves him plenty of free time, which he considers ideal. He happily lives at his parents' home, pampered by his mother, and has a relationship with his girlfriend with no intention of getting married or having children. His stability is shaken when the state decides to abolish the provinces. Checco has to decide whether to accept a severance package and look for another job, or stay in his permanent position. He chooses to stay in the civil service and accepts the transfers offered to him, although each posting is farther from home and from his comfortable life. The movie is directed by Gennaro Nunziante and stars Checco Zalone.
