What Season 1 of Looking for Alaska
Miles Halter is a teenager from Orlando who is fascinated by famous last words and by the Great Maybe, a concept he takes from Rabelais. Tired of a life that feels too safe, he enrolls at Culver Creek Academy, a boarding school in Alabama. His roommate, Chip "The Colonel," introduces him to Alaska Young, and Miles falls for her almost immediately. As he learns the disciplinary rules and faces the Weekday Warriors, he searches for his place in a demanding world. Tensions rise when Alaska is isolated by the entire school, accused of being a snitch, and her group turns its back on her. Miles will have to decide which side he's on.
