What Season 2 of Making a Murderer
The second season of Making a Murderer picks up the fight of Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey to win their exoneration. Both continue battling in the courts, and evidence nobody had considered comes to light. Attorney Kathleen Zellner takes on Steven's case and works with forensic experts. In Brendan's case, his lawyers are trying to overturn the sentence, because the evidence against him is a coerced confession. But a 1996-year statute of limitations complicates their options in federal court. Facing them are Manitowoc County and its sheriff's department, which defend their decisions. Families, lawyers and courts are at the heart of the series.
