What Season 2 of Quantum Leap
The season kicks off at a top-secret U.S. government base in New Mexico, around 1999. Physicist Sam Beckett wants to prove that time behaves differently within atoms, while the pressure to produce results keeps mounting. When he steps into the machine, he disappears and wakes up in someone else's body with no memory of who he is. Al Calavicci, a Navy admiral only Sam can see, keeps him company, and the computer Ziggy lends a hand from the lab. In each episode he leaps into a different life, from a honeymoon cop to a blind pianist, correcting whatever went wrong and hoping to return home.
