What Season 1 of The Originals
Klaus Mikaelson returns to New Orleans, the city he helped build alongside his siblings, following a lead that points to a plot against him. There he reunites with Marcel, his former protégé, a vampire who rules humans and supernaturals with an iron fist. Elijah and Rebekah return to the city for the first time since 1919. Hayley, who is pregnant, falls into the hands of witches who use her pregnancy to force Klaus to help them against Marcel. Elijah, for his part, wants his brother to find redemption. The season pits vampires, witches, werewolves and humans against one another in a war where the thirst for power and revenge weigh as heavily as the ties of blood.
